How Does God Renew Our Strength

How Does God Renew Our Strength

God promises to renew our strength. In Isaiah 40:31, we see that God renews our strength by renewing our minds. We can also renew our strength by praying, eating a good meal, and communing with God. These three ways will help us grow stronger and closer to God.

Isaiah 40:31

The word “renew” means to strengthen. When we wait upon the Lord, we are strengthened. We are given the strength we need to face tests and struggles. As we do, we approach God with greater fidelity and closeness. Our strength is renewed and we are able to run a race with patience.

The Almighty God is our Almighty Friend, and He will transfer our burdens and give us rest. When we feel overwhelmed, we can rely on our Almighty Friend, the Creator of the ends of the earth and everlasting God. He is not faint and will not fail us. This is the message of the Bible, and it’s an important reminder that we are not alone in our struggles.

The Bible teaches that the Holy Spirit gives us new strength and power. This strength is supernaturally provided by God. If we are weak, we cannot accomplish the actions outlined in Isaiah 40:31. Rather, we must put on the “new strength” that God provides us.

Isaiah is speaking to true believers of God, who will exchange their natural strength with the strength of Jehovah. Then, we can tap into our inner resources, and our strength will not fail us in the storms and demands of life. True believers of Jehovah will be strengthened to run and fly and will experience God’s purging fire.

Waiting on the Lord involves trust and patience, which will result in a renewed spirit and renewed strength. Waiting on the Lord will give us strength to endure trials and do righteous acts. The waiting time is not a wasted one, and we will experience His presence and power when we wait on the Lord.

The Lord’s mercy is a powerful source of strength, but we must remember that our strength is insignificant without the power of God. It is impossible to overcome all our burdens without God’s mercy and power. Fortunately, He can give us our burdens and help us carry them. And we can rest assured that He will never leave us or forsake us.

As we wait on God’s strength, we can be sure that He will never allow us to be tempted beyond our ability to endure. He will always give us the strength to overcome.

Prayer

In the Bible, Jesus fervently prayed in the garden of Gethsemane, asking His Father to save Him from the cross. We can learn from his example. When we pray, we should be specific about what we are asking for and how long we plan to spend praying. Ideally, we should also write down our prayer requests.

Eating a good meal

Eating a good meal will renew our strength, both physically and spiritually. As Scripture says, “When we are hungry, we have nothing in us.” When we fill ourselves with nourishment, the human engine produces fresh force. Similarly, when we are weak in spirit, we should feed on Christ and wait upon Him for strength.

Communing with God

Communing with God is an important part of our spiritual journey. Jesus often took time to pray and commune with his Father to renew himself. He also relied on this source of strength on the night before his crucifixion. We are called to put on a new self in Christ, and in the process, we renew ourselves in the image of God.
