Michael Knowles, a host for the Daily Wire, is stepping in to lead a campus tour organized by Turning Point USA (TPUSA) following the tragic death of founder Charlie Kirk. Kirk was killed on September 10 at Utah Valley University, and the tour aims to continue his mission of promoting conservative values on college campuses.
The new schedule for the tour was announced just hours before its kickoff at Minnesota State University. Knowles will take Kirk’s place in the debate tent, honoring his legacy while engaging with students.
The first event took place recently, with Knowles expressing his commitment to keeping Kirk’s vision alive. He plans to pay tribute to Kirk during the event and encourage open discussions among attendees. Knowles emphasized that despite Kirk’s death, the movement he started will not be silenced.
The tour will feature various notable speakers, including Sirius XM host Megyn Kelly and Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin at the next event on Wednesday. Following that, TPUSA will return to Utah for a September 30 event at Utah State University, featuring speakers like Senator Mike Lee and former Congressman Jason Chaffetz.
The lineup for future events includes prominent figures such as entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, radio host Glenn Beck, and actor Rob Schneider. Knowles shared his thoughts on the importance of the tour during a recent appearance on "Fox & Friends First," stating that there would be an empty chair on stage to symbolize Kirk’s absence but also to celebrate his impact.
As the tour unfolds, Knowles and other speakers aim to foster healthy debates and discussions, inviting those with differing views to participate. The events are designed to keep the spirit of Kirk’s work alive and continue engaging students in meaningful conversations about conservative principles.
