Vishwash Kumar Ramesh is being called a miracle survivor after being the only person to survive a recent plane crash in India. The tragic incident occurred on Thursday when an Air India flight, carrying 242 people, crashed shortly after takeoff. Ramesh was found conscious and sitting on his hospital bed, wearing blue scrubs, when a reporter visited him.
Despite having bruises on his hands and face, Ramesh told the reporter he was okay. He was speaking to hospital staff and police when he was approached. Dr. Shariq, the first medic to attend to him, reported that Ramesh had only minor injuries, including cuts and a slight limp. He described Ramesh as alert but mentally shaken from the experience. After a thorough examination, he was moved to a special ward for further care.
The crash has left many families in grief. A short distance away from Ramesh’s ward, relatives gathered at the mortuary to identify their loved ones. The atmosphere was somber, with cries of anguish erupting each time an ambulance arrived. Many of the deceased were described as being in terrible condition, with some unrecognizable.
Authorities are working diligently to identify the victims, using DNA from living relatives to assist in the process. The situation has been described as heartbreaking, with one hospital staff member noting the severity of some injuries.
Ramesh’s survival has brought a glimmer of hope amid the tragedy. His story has resonated with many, as people reflect on the fragility of life and the unexpected turns it can take.
