Ben Affleck Receives Support from Matt Damon at SXSW Amid Jennifer Lopezs Anger Over Jennifer Garner Photos

At the recent SXSW film festival, Ben Affleck celebrated the premiere of his new movie, "The Accountant 2," with the support of his longtime friend, Matt Damon. The event took place at the Paramount Theatre in Austin, Texas, and drew attention not only for the film but also for the personal dynamics surrounding Affleck.

Damon arrived a few minutes before Affleck, driving a black SUV. Affleck, along with actor Jon Bernthal, pulled up in a Ford pickup truck with an Airstream trailer attached. The two stars posed for photos on the red carpet, showcasing their strong friendship. Affleck, reflecting on their bond, stated, “You don’t need a million friends. You need a few good ones. And I’m really lucky to have had a friend in Matt.”

This premiere comes at a time when Affleck has been in the spotlight for his interactions with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner. Just a week prior, the actor was seen getting close to Garner during a family outing at a paintball park in California. Photos from that day showed Affleck affectionately holding Garner around the waist as they engaged in family fun with their children.

The timing of these events has reportedly upset Affleck’s second ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez. Sources say she was furious after seeing the photos of Affleck and Garner together, describing the situation as "salt in the wound." Lopez, who divorced Affleck in August 2024 after two years of marriage, is said to be unhappy with the frequent images of her ex with Garner.

Despite these tensions, Affleck seems to cherish his friendship with Garner. While he has expressed openness to rekindling their romance if the timing is right, sources close to Garner insist she is happy in her current relationship and not interested in revisiting their past.

"The Accountant 2" is set to hit theaters in April 2025, and with the buzz surrounding its premiere, it appears that Affleck’s professional and personal lives are both drawing significant attention.
