"Ford Introduces Significant Discounts as Tariffs Take Effect: Made in America, For America"

Ford Motors is rolling out significant discounts for American customers as part of a new campaign called “From America, For America.” This initiative comes in response to recent tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump aimed at addressing trade imbalances with other countries. The campaign will offer employee pricing to customers until June 2, allowing buyers to save thousands of dollars on their purchases.

Ford’s Chief Policy Officer, Steve Croley, explained that the company wants to reassure customers amid the uncertainty surrounding the new tariffs. He emphasized that this move is a way for Ford to demonstrate its commitment to American consumers. Croley stated, “We want them to be assured that Ford, the most American auto company, is gonna do right by them, as are our dealers.”

The discounts apply to a wide range of Ford vehicles, including popular models like the Mustang Mach-E and the Maverick. However, some vehicles, such as Super Duty trucks, are not included in this promotion. Croley highlighted that about 80% of Ford vehicles sold in the U.S. are built domestically, which helps the company avoid some of the impacts of the new tariffs.

This announcement coincides with Trump’s declaration of April 2 as “Liberation Day,” a day he marked with the introduction of tariffs on foreign imports. Trump stated that this day would be remembered as a turning point for American industry, claiming it would help restore the nation’s economic strength.

Ford’s strategy aims to boost sales during a time of economic uncertainty and to affirm its position as a leader in American manufacturing. By offering employee pricing, the company hopes to attract more customers and alleviate concerns about rising costs due to tariffs.
