Giants Fill Receiver Gap in Undrafted Free Agency, Featuring Jaxon Darts Former Teammate

The New York Giants made a surprising decision during the 2025 NFL Draft by not selecting a wide receiver, despite having seven picks. However, they showed their interest in improving the position right after the draft by signing several undrafted free agents, including three receivers they are particularly excited about.

One of the notable additions is Antwane “Juice” Wells Jr., who has a unique college journey. He started at James Madison, moved to South Carolina, and finished at Ole Miss. Last season, he caught 28 passes for 553 yards and six touchdowns while averaging an impressive 19.8 yards per reception. He will reunite with quarterback Jaxson Dart, who was acquired through a trade in the first round.

The Giants are also looking at Beaux Collins from Notre Dame and Da’Quan Felton from Virginia Tech. Collins, standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 201 pounds, was a highly rated recruit for Clemson but faced injuries during his time there. He had a solid season with the Fighting Irish, starting all 16 games and making 41 catches for 490 yards and three touchdowns.

Felton, a size-speed prospect at 6-foot-5 and 213 pounds, spent four years at Norfolk State before transferring to Virginia Tech. Last season, he recorded 32 receptions for 360 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his potential with a 40-yard dash time of 4.5 seconds.

In addition to these wide receivers, the Giants signed several other undrafted free agents, including offensive lineman Jaison Williams from Youngstown State, tight end Jermaine Terry II from Oregon State, and cornerback RJ Delancy III from Wisconsin. They are also giving a chance to players like safety Makari Paige from Michigan and wide receiver Nate McCollum from North Carolina.

While the Giants did not draft a wide receiver, their aggressive post-draft moves suggest they are keen on bolstering their receiving corps. Fans will be watching closely to see how these new additions perform in the upcoming spring and summer training sessions.
