Jonny Brodzinski Celebrates Memorable Minnesota Homecoming with Goal and Dinner Hosting

Jonny Brodzinski had a night to remember when he returned to Minnesota this week. The 31-year-old forward hosted a dinner for his former Hartford Wolf Pack teammates at his home in Andover before the Rangers faced off against the Wild on Thursday night. Brodzinski, along with his wife Lauren, prepared a meal for Matt Rempe, Will Cuylle, Zac Jones, Brett Berard, and Brennan Othmann, creating a warm gathering ahead of the big game.

Cuylle spoke highly of Brodzinski, calling him a role model during his first year in the professional league. He noted how Brodzinski has been a great support for both younger and newer players on the team.

The game itself was thrilling. In the third period, Brodzinski scored a crucial goal, breaking a 1-1 tie with a powerful wrist shot, helping the Rangers secure a 3-2 overtime victory. This goal marked his seventh of the season and was celebrated in front of a crowd that included at least 60 family members and friends at the Xcel Energy Center. It was a special moment for Brodzinski, as it was the first time he scored in that arena since he played in the state tournament for Blaine High School.

Reflecting on his journey, Brodzinski shared a nostalgic moment when his dad sent him a highlight clip from his high school days, reminding him of the incredible plays he made back then.

As the Rangers prepare to face the Blue Jackets on Saturday, Brodzinski is set to appear in his 35th game of the season, tying his second-most games played in a single NHL season. He previously set a career high with 57 games last season. With seven goals and six assists this season, he is just six points away from matching his career-best total of 19 points.

Brodzinski understands the challenges that come with being a young player in the league. He aims to be a supportive figure, helping newcomers feel comfortable and encouraging them to play their game. His leadership and experience continue to make a positive impact on the team.
