Rapper Kid Cudi shared a shocking story in court about an encounter with Sean “Diddy” Combs that took place in December 2011. Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, testified that Combs broke into his home out of jealousy over Cudi’s relationship with Cassie Ventura, who had previously been involved with Combs.
During his testimony in a Manhattan federal court, Cudi explained how the situation unfolded. Ventura, feeling scared, called Cudi to inform him that Combs had found out about their relationship. Concerned for their safety, they decided to leave the Sunset Marquee Hotel in Los Angeles and head back to Cudi’s house.
As Cudi drove home, he called Combs to confront him. He recalled saying, “Motherf–ker, you in my house?” Combs responded calmly, saying he just wanted to talk. However, when Cudi arrived at his house, he found it empty, but something felt off.
Cudi noted that security cameras were turned away from the front door, and his dog was locked in the bathroom, looking “jittery.” He also discovered that some gifts he had bought for his family had been opened. This led him to believe that Combs had indeed been in his home.
Feeling unsettled, Cudi attempted to contact Combs again, but the mogul remained composed. Cudi admitted he wanted to confront Combs physically but ultimately decided to call the police instead.
Combs, now 55, is facing serious legal troubles. He has pleaded not guilty to charges including sex trafficking and racketeering, and he could face a life sentence if convicted. The details from Cudi’s testimony add another layer to the ongoing case against Combs as prosecutors build their argument.
