Lauren Sanchez Reveals Wedding Dress Photo as She Ties the Knot with Jeff Bezos in Venice

Billionaire Jeff Bezos and journalist Lauren Sanchez celebrated their wedding in a stunning ceremony in Venice, Italy. The couple exchanged vows on a small island called San Giorgio, right across from St Mark’s Square, surrounded by a star-studded guest list on Friday.

Among the VIP attendees were celebrities like the Kardashians, Oprah Winfrey, and Orlando Bloom. Sanchez, 55, shared a beautiful photo on Instagram, showing herself in a white gown, walking arm in arm with Bezos. She included the wedding date, June 27, 2025, along with a heart emoji. Her gown was a classic mermaid style, featuring Dolce & Gabbana’s signature Italian lace, complemented by a traditional tulle-and-lace veil. In her post, she described the gown as "not just a gown, a piece of poetry."

The wedding festivities are part of a three-day celebration, with around 200 to 250 A-list guests from various fields expected to attend. The entire event is estimated to cost between €40 million and €48 million, or roughly £34 million to £41 million. The couple is staying at the luxurious Aman hotel, where rooms start at €4,000 per night.

While the couple and their famous friends enjoyed the festivities, not everyone in Venice was pleased. Some locals protested against what they see as an example of the city catering to the ultra-wealthy. An activist even climbed a pole in St Mark’s Square, displaying a banner that read, "The 1% ruins the world."

The wedding was not without its challenges. Earlier in the week, there were last-minute venue changes due to protests, but the couple managed to pull off a memorable event. Following the wedding, another party is scheduled for Saturday.

This lavish celebration has drawn attention not only for its celebrity guests but also for the contrasting sentiments it has sparked among the local community.
