Musk Claims Wisconsin Supreme Court Election Determines Which Party Controls the House

Elon Musk made a bold statement on Sunday, claiming that the upcoming Wisconsin Supreme Court race could shape the future of humanity. Speaking at a rally in Green Bay, Musk urged attendees to vote for conservative candidate Brad Schimel, who is facing off against liberal Judge Susan Crawford. This election is crucial as it will influence the ideological balance of the court.

Musk emphasized the importance of the election, saying it could determine which party controls the U.S. House of Representatives. He warned that if Republicans lose the House, it could significantly hinder the progress made during the Trump administration. “This is a vote for which party controls the House, and that controls the country,” Musk explained, underscoring the stakes involved.

Democrats believe that a victory for Crawford could lead to redistricting maps that favor their party and potentially eliminate two Republican seats. Musk acknowledged that the odds are against Schimel and that conservatives need a strong turnout to win. “We’ve got to pull a rabbit out of the hat next level,” he said, highlighting the need for an extraordinary effort from Republican voters.

Musk pointed out that raising awareness about the election is one of the biggest challenges. He noted that this election is also about adding voter ID requirements to the Wisconsin constitution, which he believes is very important.

At the rally, Musk announced that two Wisconsin residents, Nicholas Jacobs and Ekaterina Diestler, would each receive $1 million for signing a petition against activist judges. He stated that the payments were intended to draw attention to the election, a move that has sparked controversy in the media. The Wisconsin Supreme Court recently declined to block these payments, allowing them to go forward.

Musk also introduced a new initiative, offering $20 for every photo of a Wisconsin resident holding a picture of Brad Schimel with a thumbs up. This is part of a broader effort to mobilize support for Schimel.

The rally included support from GOP Senator Ron Johnson and Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy. Johnson stressed the need to restore the Supreme Court to one that applies the law rather than alters it. He expressed concerns that Crawford might vote to overturn significant Republican-backed reforms, including those affecting labor unions.

The race has attracted unprecedented financial support, with around $90 million spent, making it the most expensive state judicial race in history. This funding has pitted left-leaning donors like George Soros against Musk’s America PAC, which has been actively campaigning for Schimel.

As the election approaches, both sides are gearing up for a fierce battle that could have lasting implications for Wisconsin and beyond.
