Rosie ODonnell Confirms She Departed the U.S. After Trumps Election Victory

Rosie O’Donnell has confirmed that she moved to Ireland after Donald Trump won the presidency. In a recent TikTok video, she shared that she and her 12-year-old daughter, Dakota—who now goes by Clay—made the move on January 15, just before Trump took office.

O’Donnell, 62, expressed her gratitude for the kindness and warmth she has experienced in Ireland. She believes the move was the best choice for her and her child. While she is enjoying her new life, she misses her other children and friends back in the United States. She is currently trying to establish a home in Ireland and mentioned that they would consider returning to the U.S. when all citizens have equal rights.

Reflecting on the political climate in America, O’Donnell noted that it has been heartbreaking for her to witness the changes. She emphasized the importance of taking care of oneself and making tough decisions for personal well-being. Although she did not mention Trump by name, she alluded to her past conflicts with him.

O’Donnell criticized the American legacy media for failing to fulfill its role in maintaining democracy. She expressed concern that news about significant events is hard to find and suggested that platforms like TikTok have become vital sources of information. She urged the media to improve before it’s too late and encouraged her followers to protect their mental health amidst the chaos.

In her heartfelt message, O’Donnell conveyed her hope for a better future for the United States, urging everyone to do what is right. She has five children from adoption: Parker, Chelsea, Blake, Vivienne, and Dakota.
