Scheana Shay Opens Up About Eddie Cibrian Affair: "I Didn’t Notice Any Red Flags"

Scheana Shay has opened up about her past affair with actor Eddie Cibrian, who was married at the time. In an excerpt from her upcoming memoir, "My Good Side," Shay reflects on how she first met Cibrian in 2006 while working at a cigar lounge in Beverly Hills. She described him as her "exact type"—tall, dark, and handsome with dimples.

Shay recalls the moment they made eye contact, saying she "melted" at his smile. She found Cibrian to be charming and attentive, noting that he made her feel special compared to other patrons. However, she later realized he was married to Brandi Glanville, a star from "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." Shay claims she was unaware of his marital status because he reportedly did not wear a wedding ring and their relationship was before the rise of social media.

Their relationship, which Shay described as a "weekly booty call," began at the end of 2006. The situation took a turn when a member of the cigar lounge informed her about Cibrian’s marriage. Despite her feelings for him, she confronted Cibrian, who denied being married, insisting it was "insane" to ask. Shay felt manipulated, describing it as "gaslighting" and continued to see him, despite her doubts.

This revelation contrasts with what Shay said back in 2009 when their affair was publicly exposed. At that time, she claimed she only learned of Cibrian’s marriage from her mother, who saw news about Glanville’s pregnancy. Although they stopped seeing each other briefly, they rekindled their romance when Cibrian told her he had separated from Glanville.

Cibrian was married to Glanville from 2001 until their divorce in 2010. He also had a relationship with singer LeAnn Rimes during his marriage. After his divorce, Cibrian married Rimes in 2011.

"My Good Side" is set to be released on July 22, and it promises to provide more insights into Shay’s experiences and relationships.
