Social Media Influencer Documenting San Francisco Crime and Drug Use Charged with Allegedly Coercing Minors into Child Pornography

A social media influencer has been indicted for serious crimes involving minors. Ricci Wynne, 39, is facing two counts of producing child pornography. This indictment comes on top of human trafficking charges he already faced after his arrest in November.

Wynne is accused of coercing two minors into engaging in sexually explicit acts, which he filmed on his iPhone. Prosecutors believe he intended to profit from this disturbing footage. He is currently being held in federal prison, having been arrested at San Francisco International Airport on suspicions of pimping and pandering, charges he has pleaded not guilty to.

During his arrest, police seized Wynne’s iPhone, which allegedly contained videos of underage sexual acts. Wynne was already on probation for previous convictions, including being a felon in possession of a firearm and drug-related charges.

Despite his legal troubles, Wynne had gained notoriety on social media for his videos highlighting the issues of drug use and crime in San Francisco. He described his work as an effort to document the city’s struggles, claiming he wanted to contribute positively to the community. He even stated in a 2023 interview that he had turned his life around and was trying to help San Francisco.

Since his arrest, Wynne has not posted on social media, and his YouTube account has been removed for violating community guidelines. If convicted of the new charges, he faces a minimum of 15 years in prison, along with a hefty fine and several years of supervised release.
