Jack Carr, the author of "The Terminal List," has exciting news for fans. A prequel to the hit Amazon Prime series is set to hit screens in 2025. Chris Pratt and Taylor Kitsch will reprise their roles, adding to the anticipation surrounding this project.
Carr shared the announcement on Facebook, reminiscing about the start of filming for the first adaptation four years ago. This year, audiences can expect "The Terminal List: Dark Wolf," which is a prequel focusing on the character Ben Edwards, played by Kitsch. The series will also feature Tom Hopper as Raife Hastings, Dar Salim as Mo Farooq, and Luke Hemsworth as Jules Landry, with Pratt returning as James Reece.
The story takes place before the events of "The Terminal List." Carr emphasized that the aim is to honor the sacrifices of those in uniform and to capture the warrior mindset throughout the filming of "Dark Wolf," which took place overseas last year.
In addition to the prequel, Carr announced that a sequel to the original series is in the works. Filming for this sequel will begin soon, and Carr described the scripts as "epic." The sequel will continue the journey of James Reece, who seeks violent redemption in the upcoming book "True Believer."
A little over a year ago, Pratt hinted at the prequel’s production, sharing a poster with the title "The Terminal List: Dark Wolf." Reports confirmed that Amazon had finalized plans for both a second season of the original series and the prequel, although details were initially scarce.
The first season of "The Terminal List" was a significant success, ranking second on Nielsen’s weekly Top 10 streaming ratings. The series follows former Navy SEAL James Reece as he investigates the ambush of his platoon during a covert mission. Despite some critical backlash, the show resonated well with audiences, who appreciated its themes and storytelling.
As the release date approaches, fans can look forward to more announcements about "The Terminal List: Dark Wolf" and the sequel, fueling excitement for what’s next in this thrilling series.
