Taylor Swift surprised fans with a performance at Tight End University in Nashville last week. This event, which took place on June 25, 2025, featured the pop star singing her hit song “Shake It Off” alongside country artist Kane Brown.
Travis Kelce, the star tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, revealed on the “New Heights” podcast that he and Swift had planned the performance in advance. Kelce explained that since Swift grew up in Nashville, it felt right to have her join the festivities at the Tight Ends & Friends event. He mentioned, “We had this planned for a while that we were going to have some fun with the tight ends.”
During the performance, Swift played the guitar and engaged the crowd, who sang along enthusiastically. Kelce shared that Swift had not practiced before taking the stage, yet she delivered a flawless rendition. He praised her ability to make everyone feel comfortable and noted that she even wrote sheet music for the band.
This performance marked Swift’s first live appearance since her Eras Tour concluded in December 2024. Kelce humorously commented on the uniqueness of the event, joking about it being her first performance associated with Dude Wipes, a sponsor of Tight End University.
In addition to her performance, Swift spent time with the partners of other tight ends, including Claire Kittle, wife of San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle. Tight End University was co-founded by Kelce, Kittle, and retired tight end Greg Olsen in 2021 to help tight ends train and bond over their shared experiences.
Overall, Swift’s surprise performance added a fun and memorable twist to the event, showcasing her talent and connection to the Nashville community.
