President Donald Trump has promised to take strong action against those attacking Tesla vehicles and properties. Speaking from the Oval Office on Friday, he expressed his determination to prosecute anyone involved in these incidents to the fullest extent of the law.
Trump’s comments came during a media event where he introduced the world’s first sixth-generation fighter jet. When asked about the attacks, which he attributed to far-left extremists, he stated, “These people are going to be caught and they’re going to be prosecuted.” He mentioned that those responsible could face up to 20 years in prison, emphasizing that there would be no leniency or pardons for these offenders.
The president described the attackers as terrorists, pointing to the destruction caused at Tesla showrooms, where multiple vehicles have reportedly been set on fire. “When I looked at those showrooms burning and those cars—seven, eight, ten, burning, exploding all over the place—these are terrorists,” he said.
Trump also highlighted that federal authorities, including the FBI and the Justice Department, are actively investigating the funding behind these extremist groups targeting Tesla. He suggested that some of these individuals might even be sent to El Salvador for incarceration.
His remarks followed an announcement from U.S. Attorney General Pamela Bondi, who revealed that three individuals have been charged in connection with the attacks on Tesla properties nationwide. Bondi stated, “The days of committing crimes without consequence have ended,” warning that anyone involved in such domestic terrorism would face serious legal repercussions.
If convicted, the three charged individuals could face a minimum of five years in prison, with the possibility of up to 20 years behind bars. This crackdown signals a strong stance from the Trump administration against what they consider domestic terrorism related to attacks on Tesla.
