Trump Urges House Republicans to Vote on Releasing Epstein Files

Former President Donald Trump has urged House Republicans to hold a vote to release files related to Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender, calling the issue a “Democrat Hoax.” In a recent post on his platform, Truth Social, Trump said it’s time for Republicans to focus on their accomplishments instead of getting distracted by the Epstein case.

Trump highlighted achievements from his administration, including efforts to secure the southern border, deport criminal illegal immigrants, and protect women’s sports from transgender participation. He argued that the Justice Department has already made tens of thousands of pages of Epstein-related documents public and claimed the focus on Epstein is a tactic used by Democrats to divert attention from Republican successes.

He also mentioned that investigations are underway looking at prominent Democrats such as former President Bill Clinton and major donor Reid Hoffman, as well as former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, and said he plans to ask Attorney General Pam Bondi to examine the ties between these figures and Epstein.

Trump’s message came as a discharge petition aimed at forcing the House of Representatives to vote on releasing more Epstein files reportedly received its final signature. This petition has gathered support from both Republicans, including Representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene and Nancy Mace, and some Democrats.

The former president insisted that the Epstein controversy is being used against Republicans, calling it a “trap” and saying that the focus should instead be on achievements like economic growth, lowering inflation, historic tax cuts, military rebuilding, and immigration enforcement.

Trump’s call to action reflects a push within the Republican Party to steer the conversation back to their legislative record and achievements, distancing themselves from what he describes as politically motivated distractions surrounding Epstein.
