WATCH: State Trooper Removed from Texas A&M Game Following Altercation with South Carolina Players

A Texas Department of Public Safety officer left a Texas A&M football game early on Saturday after an unusual incident involving two South Carolina players. The moment happened after South Carolina’s Nyck Harbor scored an impressive 80-yard touchdown catch but appeared injured and was walking cautiously up the tunnel.

As Harbor made his way out, another South Carolina player went to check on him, and the two began to head back down the tunnel together. That’s when a DPS officer, walking the opposite way, came between them. The player on the left stepped aside, but the officer swung his elbows and seemed to push both players—especially making contact with player number 27 and bumping Harbor.

The incident caught attention quickly, and Texas DPS responded with a statement. They said the trooper involved was immediately sent home from the game. The agency’s Office of Inspector General is investigating what happened, and for now, they aren’t sharing more details.

On the field, South Carolina stunned many by taking a huge lead, 30-3, in the first half. But Texas A&M fought back hard in the second half, shutting South Carolina out completely and winning the game 31-30. Despite the thrilling comeback, the moment in the tunnel became one of the biggest talking points from the day.
