Authorities found ammunition linked to the crime, engraved with phrases reflecting "transgender and anti-fascist ideology." This revelation comes from reports by The Wall Street Journal and conservative commentator Steven Crowder, who shared information from an internal law enforcement bulletin.
The Department of Justice has not confirmed these findings but stated the investigation is ongoing. They are currently analyzing the rifle and ammunition believed to have been used in the shooting. Crowder mentioned that an Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) officer sent an email detailing the engraved ammunition, noting that all cartridges contained similar wording. The FBI has taken the firearm and ammunition for DNA and fingerprint analysis.
The tragic incident occurred while Kirk was speaking at a campus event. He was responding to a question about transgender mass shooters when the shooting took place.
