New Jersey Father Faces Frightening Situation with Daughters Hazardous Swimsuit: It Could Be Deadly

What started as a fun day in the sun turned into a near tragedy for a family in New Jersey. A few years ago, Adam Lisberg and his two young daughters were enjoying a warm June day in their inflatable pool when a serious incident occurred.

Lisberg’s daughters, ages 5 and 7, were excited to wear their favorite mermaid swimsuits. These popular swimsuits feature a bikini top and a long tail that restricts movement, making it harder for kids to kick or walk. While Lisberg was inside the house with his other child, he heard the girls playing outside, believing they were safe in the shallow water of their pool, which was only two feet deep.

Suddenly, Lisberg’s older daughter called out, saying her younger sister wasn’t moving. Panic set in as Lisberg rushed outside. When he reached the pool, he found his younger daughter unresponsive, her eyes wide open. In that moment, he feared the worst.

After attempting CPR, emergency services arrived and took the girl to the hospital. Thankfully, she recovered. Lisberg later learned that her sister had seen her underwater and tried to get her attention, but she wasn’t responding.

Reflecting on the incident, Lisberg emphasized the dangers of mermaid tail swimsuits. He hopes to raise awareness among parents, warning them that these seemingly innocent swimsuits can pose serious risks. “I want people to know that these mermaid tail swimsuits can kill,” he said.

This incident serves as a reminder for all parents to be vigilant about water safety, especially as summer approaches and families spend more time by the pool or at the beach.
