Tracy Morgan Causes Delay at Knicks Game After Vomiting on Court

Comedian Tracy Morgan experienced a medical emergency on Monday night while attending a New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden. During the second half of the game against the Miami Heat, Morgan became ill and was seen vomiting on the court.

Videos from the scene showed the 56-year-old being taken away in a wheelchair. Witnesses noted that he appeared to be struggling to stand and had blood on his face. This incident caused a delay in the game for about ten minutes. Once play resumed, the Knicks went on to win decisively, finishing the game with a score of 116-95.

A representative from Madison Square Garden expressed hopes for Morgan’s quick recovery, stating they look forward to seeing him back courtside soon.

Tracy Morgan has a history of health issues, including diabetes and a kidney transplant in 2010. He also survived a serious car accident in 2014 when a Walmart truck collided with his limousine on the New Jersey Turnpike. The crash resulted in severe injuries for Morgan, including a broken leg and a traumatic brain injury, and he was in a coma for two weeks. Tragically, the accident claimed the life of his friend and mentor, comedian James McNair, known as “Uncle Jimmy Mac.”

In a reflection on the accident’s tenth anniversary in June 2024, Morgan shared a heartfelt message, expressing love for those who were in the van with him that night and forgiveness for the truck driver involved in the crash. He had previously sued Walmart for negligence, claiming the driver had been awake for over 24 hours before the incident, but the case was settled in 2015 for an undisclosed amount.

As fans and friends await updates on his health, the incident at Madison Square Garden serves as a reminder of Morgan’s resilience and the challenges he has faced in the past.
